The Florida Chapter has exciting news on many fronts. The Chapter sees 2010 as a full year with many new events & programs. We have effectively navigated through the challenges of last year and have built a foundation for a strong chapter.
We are well on our way of completing the roster of Advisory board members and district development. This organizational approach has served the goal of managing the large geographical size of the state while providing events for these locations. Please visit our website for a look at the district locations for the Florida Chapter.
While reviewing 2009 The Florida Chapter have realized many of our goals. Reaching out to allied professions such as interior designers, landscape architects & new architects and building designers has been a success. As an example, the introduction of Interior molding classes has enabled us to draw the Interior designers and we look to bring drawing tours & classical garden lectures/events for additional outreach.
Our 2009 educational programs have created great momentum for all Chapter districts. Practically every districts is developing their own event for 2010. Such an achievement was a desired result of the districting of the state. The grass root ownership of our districts should be applauded and recognized. Our local Advisory board members are doing a fabulous job launching these 2010 events. The intent, is for these members to become the list of candidates for the 2011 election installing our first official board of officers.
